Here at Bundle, you know we love celebrating life one personalized board game at a time. Cinco De Mayo is a holiday that celebrates the date of the Mexican Army's victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-American War. A popular misconception is that Cinco De Mayo is the Mexican Independence Day, but it actually just commemorating one single battle. It's a relatively minor holiday in Mexico, but in the U.S. it has evolved into a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage.
It is so much fun for us to make custom games to celebrate holidays. Questions for a personalized Bundle: Cinco De Mayo Edition could include:
Name 4 of your favorite traditional Mexican cuisines. (For us that would be tortilla chips and salsa, guacamole, veggie tacos, and cheese enchiladas.)
A Challenge card reads, "Sing your favorite Selena song." Selena was known as the Queen of Tejano and had an incredible music career in her short life.
You can choose an "Act It Out" card that says "Parade" and have a blast trying to convey a full scale parade charades style.
When celebrating Cinco De Mayo it is important to remember not to engage in stereotypes. Wearing a sombrero, poncho, or fake mustache is not okay, and the holiday is not an excuse to drink margaritas and take tequila shots. (Hey, you can eat copious amounts of salsa and guacamole.) Let us know how you're celebrating Cinco De Mayo!
